Balenciaga Uses Couture Techniques for Everyday Pieces in Summer 2027

Balenciaga’s Summer 2027 collection applies couture methods to basics, accessories and footwear while introducing new silhouettes and strong colour signals.

According to Who What Wear, Pierpaolo Piccioli presented Balenciaga’s Summer 2027 collection in Paris under the title Les Coraux de la Liberté. The show extended the house’s couture focus into ready-to-wear, with T-shirts, denim, shirts and bombers developed through draping, hand-led construction and close attention to cut. The stated aim was to treat couture as a way of working rather than an exclusive product category.

That approach also shaped accessories and shoes. The new Nodo hobo and Silhou Tote were made in supple leather and formed by hand, while footwear included soft, flexible styles such as the Wave Thong Sandal and Lounge Sneaker. Who What Wear also highlighted the collection’s orange looks and the prominence of brown leather jackets among guests and attendees. For Balenciaga, the strategy links craft credentials with more accessible wardrobe products, potentially widening the commercial reach of its couture identity.
