Zara launches John Galliano collaboration with 35-look Paris collection

Zara has unveiled Re{form}, a 35-look collection by John Galliano, alongside a Paris pop-up and global retail launch.

Zara has introduced the first part of Re{form}, its collaboration with John Galliano, during Paris Fashion Week, according to FashionNetwork USA. The opening collection contains 35 looks, each given a French title and accompanied by descriptions of its construction and materials. Galliano reworked pieces from Zara’s archive using techniques associated with couture, including cutting apart, resizing and recombining existing garments.

The range covers womenswear and menswear, with coats, dresses, skirts, tops, shirts and accessories including Oxford shoes, boots, court shoes, hats and the Tri Chic bag. Materials range from muslin voile, georgette and tulle to traditional wool suiting. Zara will present the project in a Rue des Archives townhouse from October 1 to 6, while selling the collection online and through flagship stores in London and Madrid. Prices had not been announced in the report.
